(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 27 - The convicted leader of a gang of
rogue cops that killed 23 people and injured over 100 more
between 1987 and 1994 was refused work parole leave on Friday.
Fabio Savi, head of the White (Fiat) Uno Gang, saw his
application denied by a Milan surveillance court.
Prosecutors had asked the court to reject Savi's bid to be
allowed to work outside Milan's Bollate Prison during the
daytime.
The surveillance judges ruled that Savi had not been
sufficiently rehabilitated, nor had shown enough remorse towards
the gang's victims. (ANSA).
